Make a Joyful Noise

Music is an important part of the culture at Zion Lutheran Church. We have a Minister of Music, Mr. Scott Trexler, who is an accomplished pianist, our organist, and director of our choirs. Scott is a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, and holds a Master of Music degree in organ performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. While staying mostly within the genre of traditional main line Christian church music, Mr. Trexler assembles a wide variety of pieces and accompaniments utilizing the adult choir, vocal soloists, and instrumentalists from our own congregation (such as flutists, strings players, horns, etc.). He also searches for, finds, and presents newly written (contemporary) church music.

Choose to participate in Zion's music programs and you will find the joy of music as an element of worship. You will also find fellowship, musical talent and skills development, music education and spiritual growth. Our programs are open to everyone with no audition required for participation. As one of our choir members recently commented: "I look forward to seeing my musical friends as well as rehearsing with them: It's a great way to become involved with Zion members in a way that is both musically and personally rewarding, and also serving the Lord."

Get Involved

  • Jubilation Choir: This adult choir was on hold, but is joyfully back making beautiful music.

  • Instrumentalists: Any youth or adult instrumentalist who wishes to share his or her talent is invited to speak with Mr. Trexler about participating in our worship.

Everyone is welcome!
